NGOs of ESSF propose amendments to the EC proposition for the 7th Framework Programme on Research and Developments

The NGOs unified in ESSF had launched a critical petition on FP7 this spring and are currently proposing amendments to the FP7 text as proposed by the European Commission in April this year.

You will find here three documents as we have sent them to Members of the European Parliament. The first is a short overview of the main amendments ESSF is proposing. The second document comprises the introduction of FP7 (p.1 to 16), and the third the themes and funding schemes (p.17 to 51). We introduced quite many amendments in the themes. Therefore, at the end of each theme there is a small paragraph summarising our main ideas and research domains on which focus should be put. It is also clear from the document that there are themes where we have more knowledge and capacities to intervene (as for instance in agriculture, health, nanotechnologies, science in society) than in others.
